We're looking for a new Director of Client Services: Northweather is looking for a new, driven team member to join us on this journey This passionate and engaged self-starter will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing clients’ digital strategy, marketing, and web projects while serving as their primary point of contact and a liaison between our internal teams.


Practically, this means: You really care for our clients, you can communicate, you can present, you can write, you can build relationships, and you can manage. It also wouldn’t hurt if you could charm and convince.

  1. Manage day-to-day advertising, design, video, marketing, and advocacy projects
  2. Build trusted and valuable relationships with clients and internal team members
  3. Effectively communicate and market what we do at Northweather
  4. Assess and identify clients’ digital, communications, and marketing needs
  5. Keep in frequent contact with clients to explain strategy, address questions, and keep them in the loop regarding project developments
  6. Lead meetings, presentations, project execution, and oversee budgets and timelines
  7. Develop strategies, plans, budgets, proposals, and presentations
  8. Formalize client requests by writing project briefs and statements of work
  9. Write first drafts of many things: proposals, presentation decks, strategies, advertising copy, broadcast email and social media copy, video and audio scripts, and other marketing and advocacy copy
  10. Collaborate with the team to gather feedback and revisions on written copy and guide it to its completion
  11. Work with strategy, creative, and dev teams, and outside suppliers, to establish project estimates, timelines, and milestones
  12. Coordinate and lead digital ad placement and traditional media buying projects
  13. Coordinate print and promotional materials design and production
  14. Monitor project milestones and coordinate invoicing and other administrative requirements
  15. Complete other administrative and coordination duties as needed

Requirements

  1. A broad interest and passion in public policy advocacy, marketing, and storytelling will form the ideal foundation for a successful applicant’s wider skills
  2. Someone who really cares about marketing, communications, and advocacy --- and is keen on helping clients optimize and achieve their marketing, communications, or advocacy objectives
  3. Qualifications in marketing, communications, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
  4. Minimum of 3 years of communications experience, including 1 - 2 years serving external clients
  5. Digital Marketing & Web Design Project experience
  6. In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tools and technology
  7. Experience coordinating with strategy, creative, and technology teams
  8. Strong relationship-building skills with a talent for motivating team members and collaborating with clients
  9. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  10. Strong communication, writing, and project management skills are essential
  11. Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment
  12. Ability to bring teams together
  13. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  14. Presentation skills
  15. Familiarity or experience in one or more aspects of integrated marketing are valuable, such as planning, creative, media, research, or corporate communications
  16. Experience with one or more of the following in a marketing role will be an important asset for the successful applicant:
  1. Copywriting for marketing
  2. Digital ad management and placement
  3. Scripting
  4. Coordination
  5. Media Buying

Location of Work:


The Northweather team works in a hybrid model of both remotely from home and in person (ability to work privately and efficiently (with minimal distraction) at home is required). We have a preference for candidates who are located in Calgary. Under certain circumstances, we will also consider candidates who have a background of successfully working fully remotely from other communities in Alberta, or in Canada. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider candidates who are located outside of Canada.
