The Opportunity
Reports to: The Board of Directors (the “Board”)
Direct Reports: 6 ; Director, Communications & External Relations; Director, Finance; Director, People and Culture; Director, Information Systems; Director, Client Services; Director, Research & Policy Development
Mandate
Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading ISC through the next phase of the organization’s plan to deliver innovative newcomer solutions that support its vision of unleashing the economic, social, and civic potential of clients. This leadership position will harness the talent of staff and collaborative efforts with community partners to achieve the organization’s vision.
Key Accountabilities
- Build a best-in-class leadership team and organization;
- Diversify revenues and fund development;
- Continue the expansion of Gateway online settlement tools;
- Maintain and enhance collaborative sector partnerships;
- Implement an industry-first information platform (Knowledge Hub).
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have the following:
Education:
- A relevant undergraduate degree, such as social science, business, or communications; and,
- An MBA or relevant graduate degree would be an asset.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years progressive experience in the private, public, or non-profit sectors;
- Possesses over 5 years executive leadership experience;
- Direct and relevant relatable experience with the newcomer sector;
- Proven success in developing and implementing a strategic plan;
- Strong financial acumen that includes the development of budgets;
Competencies and Attributes:
- Is passionate about their work and the impact their work has on future generations;
- Is a true community builder;
- Communicates in a clear and concise manner with ease;
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
