Edmonton Alberta, Edmonton region, Canada M3 Development Management Ltd Full time

M3 Development Management is searching for an Assistant Cost Consultant who demonstrates an organized and technical commitment to the industry. Fuelled by passion, a Cost Consultant at M3 will take on the responsibility to support project managers in their pursuit of financial success across all projects. A master in time management and a leader in motivation – M3 desires a commitment to impact and KPI’s, and in return, M3 offers more opportunities to grow and develop.

A Day in the Life:

At M3, no two days will look alike. The Assistant Cost Consultant will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project budgets, and implementing cost control measure to optimize project profitability. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our projects are completed cost efficiently.

Note: This position is required to be fully on-site, based out of our office location in Edmonton, AB.

On your resume and cover letter, we’ll be looking for the following:

  • 0 - 2 years’ experience in loan monitoring, cost estimating, or project management.
  • Recognized University Degree or Technical school diploma
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and cost control techniques
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience with cost estimation software and tools
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

During the interview process, we’ll be looking for:

  • How you share our value set; from a love of both work life and home life, to how you listen thoughtfully and challenge ideas to demonstrate that you aren’t afraid to speak your mind, and how you stand tall, follow through – even when the going gets tough.
  • Your previous experience working in fast-paced environments and how you slowed things down to get to a solution, focused on collaboration, and looked for the less obvious.
  • Examples of meeting project deliverables within a set budget; examples of times you’ve failed to deliver and what you learned in the process.
  • Flexibility to travel for on-site visits and technical support (valid drivers’ license is required)

Why M3?

We believe in culture; and not just because that’s what we “should” say, but because we know it’s what truly sets us apart. We’ve got our eyes set on growth, but in the right way. We know that culture is defined as the worst behaviour we are willing to tolerate.

We are not okay with average. This isn’t just externally with our owners, developers, lenders, and investors – it’s internally with our team members too. We aren’t consultants or advisors – we’re partners who sit squarely in the business of execution ensuring we deliver real results.

In return for a great effort, you will be rewarded with:

  • A highly competitive salary that matches your role and experience.
  • Ability to participate in a bonus program.
  • Excellent paid time off (we do believe in living to work rather than working to live).
  • A collaborative, high-performing team that isn’t afraid of rolling up their sleeves.
  • Investments in you; tell us where you want to grow to, and we’ll help you get there
  • An environment based on inclusivity and respect, dedicated to the diversity of thought, and a commitment to equity.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Send us your cover letter and resume online in one document, showcasing your talents and why you’re ready to make a move in new and exciting ways While we intend to get back to everyone to let you know that we’ve received your resume, we’ll only be contacting those who follow the application process and outline their experience as outlined.

We encourage you to read about our philosophies, projects, and ideas on our website, our Instagram page, or LinkedIn.
