We are seeking applicants interested in becoming a member of our team of Substitute Educational Assistants for the 2024/2025 School Year. We are accepting applications for all grades and locations.

Job Duties:

support students in instruction as well as social and behavioral needs;

work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to support the delivery of quality programming to early learners;

work closely and collaboratively with school staff including, but not limited to, classroom teachers and administration;

encourage positive interactions between students and staff;

position may include activities such as lifting, transferring, and providing personal care, as necessary; and

position may have involvement in student school activities such as swimming or outdoor sports and may require the EA to participate with students.

Strong communication skills; written, verbal and reading.

Ability to assist with all subject areas.

Excellent problem solving, organizational and multitasking skills.

Organized and able to follow plans and meet deadlines.

Understanding and appreciation of Grasslands Public Schools mission and values

Respect and value all individuals with sensitivity to diversity

Personal integrity and trustworthiness

Understanding of how the role of Educational Assistant impacts the community

Education and Certifications:

High School Diploma

postsecondary training is an asset but not a requirement

Successful applicants will be required to submit before start date:

Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)

Original document reported within the last 6 months of hire date; condition of employment.
