Job Summary: The Dye and Dry Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Dye application and drying processes within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The manager will lead a team of employees, manage resources, and implement best practices in Dye application and drying technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

· Manage day-to-day operations of the Dye and Drying department, including scheduling, production planning, and personnel management.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards pertaining to paint application and handling.

· Monitor and maintain the quality of dye application and drying processes to meet customer specifications and industry standards.

· Develop, implement, and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dye application and drying processes to enhance efficiency, consistency and quality.

· Build database and breakdown of dye applications including variances

· Train and supervise department staff, providing guidance and support in operational and technical issues.

· Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production problems.

· Maintain proper inventory levels of Dye/paint materials and supplies and manage procurement processes.

· Analyze production data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

· Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of painting and drying equipment.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in Dye/paint application and drying processes.

· Strong understanding of paint/dye chemistry, drying technologies, and application methods.

· Detail oriented with experience colour matching

· Excellent leadership and personnel management skills.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

· Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.


Preferred Skills:

· Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards related to paint operations.

· Ability to multitask and manage projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Working Conditions:

· Manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and paints.

· May require standing for long periods and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).


Salary and Benefits:

· Competitive salary based on experience. $70,000 - $100,000 annual salary range.
