The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Finance and Accounting Lead to join our team.


What we'd like you to do:


· Serve as a key point of contact and develop/maintain long-term relationships with 3rd party finance operations partners, including banks, investor groups and professional services firms

· Execute on daily duties, including routine accounting functions, payment processing, and borrowing base reconciliations

· Communicate effectively with all other departments within the business, including finance, sales, and information technology

· Research and prepare the appropriate analysis for accounting policies

· Identify, monitor, and report on key operating metrics to internal and external stakeholders

· Assist in the forecasting and budgeting process, including analysis and reporting to senior management

  • Implement and develop policies and procedures ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are satisfied

· Identify areas of improvement and propose creative solutions

  • Assist in assessments and audits of internal and external partners

· Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, early-stage, and high-energy environment

· Be willing to roll up your sleeves and work cross functionally to get the job done

  • Perform other duties as required


Experience we'd like you to have:


· 3 to 5 years accounting and finance experience with a focus in banking, loan servicing, financial technology, or the payments industry

· Demonstrated responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and accounting operations

· Experience in a role that requires a high attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for dealing with a wide range of audiences

· Any of the following experiences will be considered an asset: familiarity with USA and Canadian banking regulation, experience managing high-performing teams, project management experience, and knowledge of data analytics or visualization software (such as Power BI)
