Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Accounts payable
- Prepare cheques and EFTs
- Grants processing
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports
- Coordinate and assist in planning and attending audit and investment meetings
- Database and records management
- Assist with special projects, events and meetings as required
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
- 1 3 years experience in similar role, working with detailed spreadsheets, analysis, and/or reconciliations
- Strong MS Excel, Word, Outlook, proficiency
- Experience with Raisers Edge and/or processing donations is an asset
- Accuracy and thoroughness in work, with the ability to take accountability
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Team-focus with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate positive relationships and collaborate with others
