Senior Construction Project Manager

We are currently partnered with a leading full-service development company who are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join their team based in Toronto. As the Senior Project Manager you will be overseeing the full construction process of a large scale High Tech Industrial project. Would be very interested in candidates with experience in Robotic Warehouse or Datacentre/Clean rooms etc construction projects.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all subcontractors and partners providing all program management services and ensure such services are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the quality standards.
  • Assist in coordinating with selected architect and construction manager to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Establish protocols for meetings, document control, and general project administration to ensure delivery of the project.
  • Work with governmental agencies, permitting authorities, and other local stakeholders regarding entitlements, permits, and other matters
  • Conduct regular site meetings to monitor progress and address any issues or risks.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Review and develop comprehensive construction schedules and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Mentor and provide leadership to junior project managers, ensuring that project management best practices are followed.
  • You will expected to build a team of junior Project Managers.


Qualifications

  • Construction related degree or equivalent : Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Manager etc.
  • 15+ years experience in project management in connection with large-scale, complex industrial projects with a Tier 1 General Contractor or Consultant.
  • Experience in sophisticated warehouse construction or datacentres would be advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and internal resources to navigate challenging project dynamics.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented.
