Job Description

Canadian Living is looking for a passionate content producer to be part of a dynamic team specializing in digital "Lifestyle" content. The ideal candidate must be passionate about subjects like cooking, health, fashion and beauty and decor, in addition to being on the lookout for the latest trends in the field of design, as well as participating in the production of content for Style at Home magazine.

  • Develop ideas for high-performance digital content related to cooking, decor, design or any other niche that involves Lifestyle subjects;
  • Work with Director of Digital Content in planning and production of daily stories;
  • Find, write, develop, adapt and disseminate content;
  • Participate in the planning of the digital editorial calendar;
  • Participate in weekly story idea meetings;
  • Create and enhance magazine content for online platform using texts, photos and videos;
  • Participate in the content distribution strategy on the various platforms including Facebook and Instagram;
  • Keep up to date with the latest "lifestyle" trends on social networks to identify new content ideas;
  • Adapt content in different formats for our social platforms: videos, Reels, etc.;
  • Develop and create affiliate content that integrates naturally on the site;
  • Participate in the creation of newsletters.

Qualifications
  • Studies in communication, journalism or any other discipline deemed relevant;
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in web writing;
  • Bilingual and/or ability to translate articles from French to English, an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the latest culinary trends, decor and lifestyle;
  • Flawless knowledge of the culture of present-day English Canada;
  • Strong and engaging writing style/voice with minimal errors;
  • Very good knowledge of good web writing practices;
  • Basic knowledge in computer tools;
  • In-depth knowledge of social platforms like Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.
