PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Case Specialist will devise a scalable, client-focused client management services methodology and processes that will support Verita’s Class Action services. This position will play an integral role in our business by providing advice, counsel, and direction for all aspects of maintaining and enhancing Verita’s highly professional client services team. Additionally, the Case Specialist will oversee all case sizes assigned, including large project mandates, and lead teams when necessary.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  1. Manage multi-million dollar class action settlements.
  2. Coordinate efforts with internal resources and third-party vendors to develop project plans that uphold the settlement agreement.
  3. Manage teams in multiple locations as necessary.
  4. Supervise teams of one to hundreds of employees on a day-to-day basis.
  5. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and performance of managed staff.
  6. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  7. Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
  8. Work closely with the Executive Management team on contracts, pricing, profitability, staffing, and labor utilization.
  9. Identify opportunities for upselling and work closely with the BD team to provide pricing when requested.
  10. Serve as a model for exceptional client service and continually develop innovative, value-added recommendations.
  11. Oversee settlement budget and ensure accuracy for client billing and monthly invoicing.
  12. Ensure adherence to production and quality standards.
  13. Review project deliverables and communicate with company executives regarding project statuses.
  14. Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  2. 2+ years experience with project management in finance or legal capacity.
  3. Staff/team management experience.
  4. Proven track record of managing, motivating, and holding a team accountable.
  5. Analysis & problem-solving skills with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
  6. Self-starter, able to deliver on time and to high standards with minimal oversight.
  7. Excellent organizational skills and ability to self-direct and prioritize initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. PMI, PMP, MBA, or accounting designation.
  2. Ability to comprehend, explain, and apply court-approved documents and instructions.
  3. Working knowledge of class actions and settlements.
