Disability Case Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Disability Case Manager to join our team at Canada Life. As a Disability Case Manager, you will be responsible for proactively managing assigned disability claims, evaluating medical information and job duties, and developing case management and return to employment plans during periods of disability.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct medical investigations by phone or in writing to the applicant, employer, physicians, and other medical service providers
- Evaluate the extent of the disability by interviewing or writing to the applicant and the employer, and ongoing updates
- Write letters to inform all affected parties of decisions regarding disability cases
- Implement return-to-work programs and negotiate with the employer
- Adhere to service level agreements associated with policy holder claims
- A bachelor's degree or college diploma in Kinesiology, Disability Management, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, and/or experience as a Disability Specialist, Rehabilitation Consultant, Occupational Therapist, or Consultant, Massage Therapist, or any other regulated health care field
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent listening skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills and ability to work with different priorities and timelines
