Position Overview: As the Game Development Lead at WildCard Games, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of gaming experiences. Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Unity games, ensuring quality, decomposition.
  • Architect and maintain scalable, modular, and efficient code for current and future projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in development processes.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards.


Team Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Unity developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Work closely with other leads, producers, and designers to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall game vision.
  • Collaborate with product and game designers to design and build efficient features that can be delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between client and backend components.
  • Work closely with QA to identify and address bugs, ensuring the highest level of product quality.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and discuss technical solutions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a mobile Unity developer with at least 5 years of experience and shipped at least two games from start to finish.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or lead developer role.
  • Strong understanding of Unity3D, C#, and object-oriented programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with performance and optimization tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as perforce.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with multiplayer game development.
  • Familiarity with shader programming.
