Job SummaryThe Sales Consultant is responsible for meeting the needs of retail and builder clients across all product lines at Simple Spaces, including showers, mirrors, wire and wood shelving. The incumbent works closely with in-house specialists to ensure excellent design, communication, and product installation by being the main point of contact for their customers.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities- Use Simple Spaces Design Center to meet daily with homeowners, builders, designers, and contractors to review their glass and shelving needs and provide pricing on multiple product lines.
- Ensure designs and selection sheets orders are clear, detailed, and accurate.
- Oversee determination of specs and base estimate quotes with internal team and send finalized estimate to clients.
- Maintain organized records of quotes, sales, and customer requests.
- Demonstrate proficiency with digital programs to provide detailed drawings for customers using ‘Showers Online’ through CR Laurence and ‘Cabinet Vision’ through Plan It.
- Attend onsite visits as required for custom projects.
- Promote sales to existing customers.
- Engage in regular communication with homebuilders including the estimating, design, and construction teams regularly. This can be done in person, by phone, email, or text.
- Collaborate with home builder designers on products and ensure they have the tools (i.e., selection sheets) and product knowledge to sell in their Sales Centre.
- Develop and/or maintain selection sheets as needed.
- Provide regular updates on your progress with meeting your assigned builder/client list.
- Work with Sales and Marketing team to create new sales opportunities.
- Provide back-up for other sales related positions as required.
- Follow late change order process as needed.
- Minimum 1-3 years of sales, design, or account representative experience.
- Able to confidently use Microsoft Office and able to learn other software programs quickly.
- Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle (Non GDL Preferred, Clean drivers abstract).
- Positive and outgoing attitude with the ability to maintain composure under stress.
- Respectful and friendly customer service both external and internal.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident and clear interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
- Time management - capable of organizing and managing multiple priorities in a time sensitive environment.
- Flexibility - effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
- Availability to work occasional Saturdays.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to read and interpret floorplans.
- Knowledge of construction or home building industry.
- Desire to continually learn and expand your knowledge base.
- Software: CRL Online, Planit (Cabinet Vision), Microsoft Office Suite, Business Central, CRM, DocuSign.
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift and carry 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand 6-8 hours a day.
