Senior Civil Project Engineer – Municipal/Land Development (Nanaimo)
Location: Nanaimo, BC
Job Summary:
Do you want to put your stamp on one of the fastest growing communities in Canada?
We in search of a Civil Project Engineer (P.Eng) to fill a very important role for our prestigious Civil Engineering client in their Nanaimo office.
Must Have:
- Minimum 8 years of Canadian experience as a P.Eng in design of land development projects as engineer of record.
- Registered, or ability to register as a P.Eng. with EGBC;
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in the land development industry or municipal field
- Extensive experience in: technical design issues, constructibility, cost, and design approvals
Nice to have:
- Construction administration expertise
Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of private sector land development projects and or public sector projects ensuring successful technical and financial outcomes.
- Managing assigned projects through the municipal design approval process as the Engineer of Record for the project
- Responsible for project management of assigned projects including budget tracking, invoicing and contract administration and management
- Direct and oversee detail design process, guide technical support to ensure completion of the design objectives, approvals, and document issuance required for construction
- Attend keep record of all meetings with stakeholders for project record purposes
- Track project progress and obtain authorizations/approvals for changes in schedule/scope
- Provides mentorship and evaluation of junior staff.
