Exciting Opportunity for a Passionate Engineer or Technologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Intermediate Technologist or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our dynamic team at ISL Engineering & Land Services. As a key member of our Vancouver Island team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that make a real difference in our communities.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented engineer or technologist to take their career to the next level. You will be responsible for providing design and construction services for municipal engineering projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing concepts and designs using Civil 3D, CAD, and other computer-aided drafting programs
  • Preparing engineering base plans, designs, drawings, and cost estimates for municipal engineering projects
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to facilitate project requirements
  • Inspecting construction of municipal engineering projects
  • Providing input into project budgeting and scheduling

Requirements
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Engineering Design Technology with registration (or eligible for registration) with AScT or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC
  • ~3+ years' experience in municipal or transportation engineering related fields
  • ~ Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD
  • ~ Transportation and/or Municipal engineering design experience
