Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects through the municipal design approval process, providing technical guidance to junior staff, and ensuring the completion of design objectives, approvals, and documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned projects through the municipal design approval process as the Engineer-of-Record.
  • Direct involvement in the detailed engineering design process and guidance of technical support staff as needed.
  • Exercise judgment on the appropriateness of engineering requirements identified by municipal jurisdictions.
  • Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and municipal staff, making notes and records of the outcomes.
  • Meet project milestone events in accordance with client and municipal deadlines.
  • Track project progress and obtain authorizations/approvals for changes in schedule/scope.
  • Resolve complex issues during design and construction phases.
  • Contract Administration and Management.
  • Responsible for aspects of project management, including budget tracking, invoicing, and accounts receivables.
  • Provide mentorship and evaluation of junior staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of local experience in design of land development or capital works projects.
  • Registered as a P.Eng. within the province of work.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on several different projects.
  • Consistently able to produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
