Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for an Analyst, Payments to join the team. The Analyst, Payments will report to the Supervisor, Payments. This role is pivotal in supporting all aspects of our payment processing operations, with a keen focus on accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across all forms of payment.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in customer service, showcasing exceptional communication and organizational skills. The Analyst, Payments is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payments while adhering to established processes and controls as per SOX. As a key internal service provider, the Analyst, Payments will maintain a positive working relationship with Pembina’s vendors, business, and service units.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all outgoing payments;
  • Adhere to compliance with SOX documentation in processes and controls;
  • Work collaboratively with Pembina's business and service units on strategic priorities;
  • Develop and maintain standard bank protocols for payment timelines;
  • Provide information on payment forecasts to Treasury team;
  • Provide coverage for corporate card program;
  • Develop skills through internal and external training;
  • Identify improvement opportunities through monitoring Payments KPI’s and KRI’s, and recommend and carry out solutions;
  • Align with and demonstrate Pembina’s key behavioral responsibilities;
  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules.”
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma with Post Secondary Education preferable;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, Payments or Treasury field with prior experience in SAP;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Experience with Concur, Open Text Vendor Invoice Management, Ariba, Analysis for Office is an asset;
  • Exhibits sharp analytical prowess and adept problem-solving capabilities. Has an eye for detail, juggles multiple tasks with ease, and always meets the ticking clock with success;
  • Exceptional dedication to work, paired with strong communication, organizational skills and abilities in prioritization with changing demands.

Pembina’s Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
