COMPANY OVERVIEWThe Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is a joint venture owned by three Prairie centrals created to digitally transform and modernize payment services for credit unions in the Prairies. PPJV’s goal is to ensure prairie credit unions are competitive in payments and have access to efficient, modernized payments processing infrastructure.ROLE SUMMARYAt Prairie Payments Joint Venture, Senior Business Analysts (Senior BA) provide strategic business analysis and development of the organization’s business/technical operations. Also known as Business Analysts, these highly analytical specialists have both business and technical expertise and an in-depth understanding of the business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and context in which PPJV operates. Duties include analyzing requirements, estimating costs, and establishing system protocols.The Senior Business Analyst will assess every aspect of our daily business/technical operations from end-to-end and identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks. This position also identifies opportunities to improve efficiency. As the Senior BA, you will examine existing and new systems for improvement, report common issues, evaluate company performance, and recommend new system procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESExperience in payments processes and systems modernizationExperience handling various payment vendor products in production environmentsExperience in various core financial institution banking functionsDemonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plansSupport functional and cross-functional business analysts to meet client and business needsProvide coaching and mentoring to more junior business analystsDemonstrate leadership in the development/maintenance of a center of excellence for other business analystsLead projects, manage resources, drive the resolution of issues, hold self and team accountable for results, and articulate ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers, and othersIdentify, create, and facilitate process design changes by leading business and process analysis and design with both legacy and cloud systemsExperience in data analysis on identified source systemsExperience in working with project management tools such as MS Visio, JIRA, etc.Examine current and new business proceduresIdentify effective solutions for business software system issuesReport common patterns, questions, and other issues to managementRecommend solutions for improving and restructuring company proceduresAssess company performance, information, and plans by conducting regular tests and analysisMonitor company systems status and report any progress or changesResearch and estimate the costs of upgrades and improvementsEstablish specifications for new projects by developing project goals, phases, and budgetsKEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or relevant fieldA minimum of 7 years’ experience as a business analystAbility to work in a collaborative environmentProficient in data analysisExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHighly analytical mindsetProficient in Microsoft OfficeTHE ENVIRONMENTPPJV is a fast-paced and focused environment where employees and contractors share the mission to deliver efficient, cost-effective, modernized payments processing to prairie credit unions.Interested candidates are asked to submit a resume & cover letter by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 via this link.
