Position: Driver and Fleet Coordinator, Seasonal Part Time

Company: Coach Canada/Trentway-Wagar

Location: 5550 Boul Monk, Montreal, Quebec

Hours of Work: Friday - Monday, hours TBD


What you will do:

• Coordinating the day to ensure buses are ready to go for drivers scheduled departure times.

• Act as the main source of contact and line of help for drivers.

• Coordinate daily scheduling of fleet and drivers, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

• Monitor and adjust dispatch plans in real-time to accommodate unexpected changes, delays, or emergencies.

• Communicate with drivers to relay dispatch instructions, route changes and last-minute work.

• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.

• Provide excellent employee support, addressing and resolving any issues or complaints.

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve service quality and operational performance.

• Other administrative tasks as required.


Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, laws, and best practices

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, customer service, or a related field

• Strong geographic knowledge of the area served.

• Proficient in the use of dispatch software and strong computer skills

• Proficient with word and proven experience using excel.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (French and English is required)

• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes in schedules or routes.

Ce que vous ferez :

• Coordonner la journée pour s'assurer que les autobus sont prêts à se rendre aux heures de départ prévues pour les conducteurs.

• Agir comme la principale source de contact et la ligne d'aide pour les conducteurs.

• Coordonner l'horaire quotidien de la flotte et des chauffeurs, en assurant une utilisation efficace des ressources.

• Surveillez et ajustez les plans de répartition en temps réel pour s'adapter aux changements, aux retards ou aux urgences imprévus.

• Communiquer avec les conducteurs pour relayer les instructions de répartition, les changements d'itinéraire et le travail de dernière minute.

• Assurer la conformité à tous les règlements de transport et à toutes les normes de sécurité.

• Fournir un excellent soutien aux employés, traiter et résoudre tout problème ou plainte.

• Collaborer avec d'autres membres de l'équipe et des départements pour améliorer la qualité du service et le rendement opérationnel.

• Autres tâches administratives au besoin.


Qualifications requises :

• Solide compréhension des règlements, des lois et des pratiques exemplaires en matière de transport

• Minimum 1-2 ans d'expérience dans la répartition, le service à la clientèle ou un domaine connexe

• Solide connaissance géographique de la région desservie.

• Maîtrise de l'utilisation des logiciels de répartition et solides compétences en informatique

• Maîtrise des mots et expérience éprouvée de l'utilisation d'Excel.

• Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et de gestion du temps

• Capacité de travailler dans un environnement au rythme rapide et de gérer plusieurs tâches simultanément.

• Excellentes compétences en communication, tant verbale qu'écrite (le français et l'anglais sont requis)

• Capacité de rester calme et de prendre des décisions sous pression.

• Axé sur les détails avec de solides compétences organisationnelles.

• Flexibilité pour s'adapter aux changements inattendus dans les horaires ou les itinéraires.
