Objectives:

The Senior Director, Programs is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of all CCC programs in a cohesive and thoughtful way to the benefit of colorectal cancer patients, stakeholders and Colorectal Cancer Canada ('CCC"). The Senior Director, Programs, also oversees CCC programs that are pan-cancer in nature. The Senior Director, Programs needs to ensure that the programs advance CCC's mission and meet the strategic direction of the organization: Awareness, Education and Advocacy.

Reports To: Executive Director

Responsibilities:

  • Supports CCC's mission, vision and values
  • Assists in efforts to raise awareness, educate and support patients along their journey
  • Ensures Program Managers research and communicate up to date colorectal cancer prevention, treatment, and epidemiological trends
  • Ensures programs are based on patient and stakeholder needs
  • Evaluates and reports on programs and ensures objectives are met by all staff members
  • Engages with patients, caregivers and funders, as appropriate
  • Ensures programs are aligned with strategic objectives and priorities
  • Helps to establish and measure metrics for each program, working closely with all staff members
  • Ensures methodological approach and rigor across all programs
  • Oversees the coordination of program activities
  • Measures impact of all programs
  • Promotes the publication of program results
  • Communicates with health care professionals, patients, industry, and other stakeholders to help advance CCC initiatives, as appropriate
  • Works closely with all team members in meeting the organization's objectives

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Science, Public Health, Epidemiology or related health field
  • At least 3 years experience in program development and/or project management
  • Experience in health research or scientific research
  • Experience in psychosocial is an asset
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Ability to passionately and knowledgably articulate CCC's mission and initiatives to stakeholders
  • Possesses dynamic communication skills with experience in knowledge translation (written, verbal and visual)
  • Team-oriented leadership with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to see the "big picture"
  • Confidence and experience in public speaking engagements
  • Bilingual French and English
  • Experience with non-governmental or non-profit organizations an asset

Objectifs:

Le directeur principal des programmes est chargé de superviser la planification, l'élaboration et l'exécution de tous les programmes de CCC d'une manière cohérente et réfléchie dans l'intérêt des patients atteints de cancer colorectal, des parties prenantes et de Cancer colorectal Canada (" CCC "). Responsabilités :

  • Soutient la mission, la vision et les valeurs de CCC.
  • Participe aux efforts de sensibilisation, d'éducation et de soutien des patients tout au long de leur parcours.
  • Veiller à ce que les gestionnaires de programme effectuent des recherches et communiquent les dernières tendances en matière de prévention, de traitements et d'épidémiologie du cancer colorectal.
  • Veiller à ce que les programmes soient fondés sur les besoins des patients et des parties prenantes.
  • Évalue les programmes et offre des comptes rendus à leur sujet, et veille à ce que les objectifs soient atteints par tous les membres du personnel.
  • S'engage auprès des patients, des proches aidants et des partenaires financiers, le cas échéant.
  • Veille à ce que les programmes soient alignés avec les objectifs et les priorités stratégiques
  • Contribue à l'établissement et à la mesure des paramètres stratégiques de chaque programme, en étroite collaboration avec tous les membres du personnel
  • Veille à l'approche méthodologique et à la rigueur de tous les programmes.
  • Assurer la coordination des activités du programme
  • Mesure l'impact de tous les programmes
  • Favorise la publication des résultats des programmes
  • Communique avec les professionnels de la santé, les patients, l'industrie et d'autres parties prenantes pour faire progresser les initiatives de CCC, le cas échéant.
  • En étroite collaboration avec tous les membres de l'équipe, vise à atteindre les objectifs de l'organisation.

Qualifications et expérience :

  • Maîtrise en sciences, en santé publique, en épidémiologie ou dans un domaine connexe de la santé.
  • Au moins trois ans d'expérience dans l'élaboration de programmes et/ou la gestion de projets
  • Expérience dans le domaine de la recherche en santé ou de la recherche scientifique
  • Une expérience dans le domaine psychosocial est un atout
  • Une expérience dans le domaine du service à la clientèle est un atout
  • Capacité à présenter avec passion et compétence la mission et les initiatives de la CCC aux parties prenantes.
  • Posséder des compétences de communication dynamiques avec une expérience dans le transfert de connaissances (écrites, verbales et visuelles).
  • Leadership axé sur le travail d'équipe et fortes compétences interpersonnelles
  • Capacité à percevoir la "vue d'ensemble".
  • Habileté à s'exprimer avec confiance en public
  • Bilingue français-anglais
  • Expérience avec des organisations non gouvernementales ou à but non lucratif, un atout
