Job Summary:

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (La commission scolaire du Nunavik) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Program Coordinator - Nunavik Sivunitsavut. This role will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of the Nunavik Sivunitsavut program, including the development of French language programs, staff management, and liaison with partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assess the implementation of the Nunavik Sivunitsavut Programs.
  • Develop and implement French language programs in accordance with the goals and objectives of Kativik Ilisarniliriniq and the Nunavik Sivunitsavut Advisory Committee.
  • Recruit and hire professionals and support staff as needed.
  • Coordinate the activities required for forwarding marks to partner institutions.
  • Research opportunities for the accreditation of non-credited courses and the expansion of the project.
  • Develop and implement governance models for Nunavik Sivunitsavut.
  • Liaise with partner organizations, including John Abbott College, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Quebec (MEES), Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), Nunavut Sivunitsavut, and other relevant organizations.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff under your responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study or senior executive staff position. A Master's degree is an asset.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Written and oral fluency in two (2) of the three (3) languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, English).
  • Extensive knowledge of post-secondary education and Indigenous education.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Experience dealing with external institutions such as government agencies.
  • Ability to travel to Nunavik occasionally.

Classification / Salary / Benefits:

Class 00-08* as per the working conditions of KI's managers: from $90,887 to $121,180 annually depending on qualifications and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
