Boeing Vancouver is seeking IT Support Intern to work with the Information Technology team. This is a full-time internship opportunity that is based at our office in Richmond, British Columbia and is up to 8 months in length, starting in early September, 2024.

The IT Support Intern will act as first level IT support for the Canada and Latin America Region focusing on focused on project management, network and information security. Candidate will be reliable, responsible, conscientious, self-motivated and have ability to follow detailed tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

Work directly with an assigned mentor or a buddy Provide first level technical support to Boeing employees around the world Perform repairs for PC hardware Responsible for Workstation setup and Audio/Video setup Support inventory and backups Any additional technical support duties as assigned by the management team

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Richmond location. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited university or college with studies in Computer Science or similar technical discipline Must be at least a 2nd year or higher student with studies in a relevant program Willing and able to work 40 hours per week during the internship Must be legally able to work in Canada Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

Previous work experience in IT CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Desktop Support Technician certification Desktop support with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office experience Experience with Mac OS

*Graduates are ineligible unless continuing in post graduate studies.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.

Starting salary will be based on year of post-secondary education completed, qualifications and experience. The range for this internship is $ $24.50 CAD hourly.
