Position Overview:


DoubleTree by Hilton is a busy 490 rooms award winning hotel located in the heart of downtown Toronto near the City Hall.

We strive to deliver great individualized and uncompromising service to every hotel guest that passes through our doors.

We are currently looking for experienced Reservation Agent with a service oriented and caring attitude sophistication and a genuine smile that creates a warm, welcoming environment for our guests, to join our Reservations team.


REPORTS TO:
REVENUE/RESERVATIONS MANAGER

DUTIES:

  • Selling and creating room reservations
  • Daily reservation reporting
  • Creating group bookings and subsequent reservations
  • Handling guest inquiries, including complaints
  • Providing guest service as per hotel standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good command of the English language is essential, both written and verbal
  • Additional languages spoken would be an asset
  • Must be neat, professional and well groomed
  • Previous Reservations experience or other hotel employment would be an asset
  • Keyboarding skills would be an asset words per minute)
  • Must be organized and possess strong time management skills
  • Must be attentive to details
  • Able to be seated in front of a computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be guest service focused
  • College diploma or University degree from a Hospitality related program would be an asset
  • Must be able to work shifts days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements

  • All duties involve constant sitting with some walking and standing
  • Occasionally bending/stooping to retrieve print reports
  • Wrist movement and handling is occasional for most positions, more frequent for office coordinator
  • Use of fingers, hands, wrist for typing
Working Conditions

  • Status control are all situated in indoor setting
  • Constant usage of telephone for communication
