Full job description

THE POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calling for Locates
  • Creating and managing locate packages
  • Calling in any issues (like Stop Orders) and resolving said issues
  • Identifying utilities and implementing strategies to clear any conflicts that may arise
  • Able to provide clerical assistance in office
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers
  • Reception and general administration duties
  • Other activities as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in fiber optic utility coordination.
  • Minimum 1 year office administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of Fiber optic systems as it relates to architecture, fiber to the home and service drops to residential and business clients.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to deal with multiple projects and conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering work plans.
  • Must have a personal vehicle and valid Ontario driver's license
  • Familiar with industry codes, engineering practices, standards, and construction methods.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity software.
