Qualifications / qualifications:

  • One year Human Resources and/or Hotel experience preferred
  • Degree or diploma with a concentration on Human Resources; working towards professional certification (CHRP)
  • Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Flexibility and capability to take on special assignments/projects as directed by supervisor.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of company, role, and scope; Ability to act as a brand ambassador for Omni Hotels & Resorts

Responsibilities / responsabilités:

  • Assist with recruitment of line level positions by liaising with colleges, and universities to post job opportunities, screening resumes, conducting interviews and checking references.
  • Assist with onboarding of line level positions by conducting background checks, reviewing letters of offer, and processing new hires.
  • Coordinate coop and internship programs in collaboration with colleges and universities.
  • Serve as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee and maintain records of committee activities.
  • Coordinate projects that have an organization wide impact such as hotel orientation, service recognition awards, town hall meetings, health and wellness fair, etc.
  • Assist associates as needed by answering simple questions or forwarding to appropriate team members.
  • Participate in planning and execution of associate events planned by the HR Department
  • Maintain all personnel files through the weekly filing and logging of all pertinent information.
  • Responsible for daily checks of mailbox and distribution of departmental mail.
  • Process change of address, change of name, change of marital status, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed with appropriate signatures
  • All payroll reports are prepared by required deadlines
  • Any other duties as assigned.
