Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with employees and managers and provide support
  • Implement and administer policies, procedures and programs, and promote positive employee relations
  • Provide transactional HR support using ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN)
  • Perform onboarding processes, including conducting new hire orientation (as needed), coordinating and collaborating with other departments in planning and delivering tools and equipment (cell phones, vehicles, computers, etc.) for new hires
  • Travel to the offices and projects across Canada
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for human resources related matters, including employee relations issues, manage/handle issues as appropriate, escalate issues as needed
  • Support Talent Acquisition team with recruitment activities
  • Coordinate with and support Leaning and Development team
  • Coordinate employee performance review program and administer annual performance reviews
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations
  • Conduct research as needed
  • Work on adhoc projects

Qualifications

  • College diploma or University degree preferably in Human Resource Management
  • CHRL designation or in progress is preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation is required
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Experience using HRIS. Experience with ADP WFN is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, build trust and relationships with employees at all levels
  • Proficient in both, English and French (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a very fastpaced environment
  • Effective organizational and time management skills and ability to manage priorities according to deadlines
  • Available to travel across Canada and comfortable visiting construction sites
  • The Human Resources Generalist will provide support to the corporate offices and projects across Canada.
