Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.

Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs the following tasks:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports company credit cards reconciliation process
  • Supports reconciliation process for goods received not invoiced
  • Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices, expense reports and statements, substantiating business transactions
  • Audits PO invoices against purchase orders and receipts, researches discrepancies
  • Distributes nonPO invoices to approvers for review and approval
  • Investigates invoices denied by approvers by contacting vendors and employees and follow up
  • Enters approved invoices into financial data processing system according to company procedures
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Backup for performing weekly payment run
  • Assists employees and vendors by answering questions related to accounts
  • Provides backup to team members when needed
  • Adheres to Surepoint's Business Conduct Policy and all other policies as applicable

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or experience equivalent
  • Minimum two years accounts payable experience preferably in a similar industry
  • Proficient using computerbased accounting system; Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains preferred

Physical Strain:

  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
