Role Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist at Ellement, you will play a vital role in ensuring the prompt payment of all claims and trade payables. Our team is committed to handling financial transactions accurately and efficiently. By processing invoices meticulously and confirming payment details, we help uphold strong relationships with our suppliers and vendors. Your dedication to detail and meeting payment deadlines will contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process various types of cheques, such as daily claim, disability, pension, and reciprocal cheques
  • Code, enter, print, and mail trade payables for all companies
  • Send invoices to Consultants for approval and process vendor payments
  • Maintain precise vendor records
  • Resolve vendor queries and concerns efficiently
  • Manage cheque stock inventory
  • Seek approval for Trust payables
  • Stay updated on signing authority guidelines and trustees' expense schedule
  • Offer general accounting support as needed
  • Organize filing and document archives

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (accounting certificate or diploma preferred)
  • 3 - 5 years of prior accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Successful completion of a background check
