Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Management this position will be responsible for coordinating and planning for SQS functions and field resources on a project. _

What you can expect to do here:

  • The responsibilities, tasks and activities for the SQS Coordinator will include but are not limited to the following _
- _Clear understanding of SQS procedures/workflows and how they relate to Client-specific and/or project requirements. _
- _Identification of Inspection Agencies with qualified 3rd party inspectors locally (Alberta), across Canada, USA, Europe, Asia as required. Approve proposed inspectors. _
- _Ensure the assigned inspectors maintain their proficiency and qualifications. _
- _An ability to communicate complex technical information to a wide range of audiences internally and externally. _
- _Ensure proper scheduling of inspectors for visit to supplier fabrication facility. _
- _Maintain a weekly lookahead of source surveillance/ verification assignments, status and resourcing. Manage and distribute results of surveillances from WSP. _
- _Participate in daily plan of the day and weekly scheduling meetings to support effective scheduling. _
- _Support with lookahead planning for adequacy of resources or identify shortfalls. _
- _Capable of interpreting specifications, drawings, quality plans. _
- _Support to WSP SQS Coordinator and Project Manager as required. _
- _Receives inspection reports, reviews for quality of fabrication, progress as per fab schedule, and follows up on any noted deficiencies in vendor's facility. _
- _Collaborate with relevant 'key working relationships, such as Client and Supplier quality representatives, to ensure all quality activities related to equipment have been addressed. _
- _Expected to work with all levels of the organization in a cohesive manner. _
- _Review and approve ITPs/WPSs/Vendor Quality Plans/Testing Procedures. _
- _Manage and report any NCRs or corrective actions that arise due to suppliers' performance or QA issues. _

What you'll bring to WSP:

- _- 10 Yrs. experience of co-ordinating teams / planning inspection delivery preferably in a CSA N299 / ASME III NCA 4000 environment. _
- _Degree or trade diploma. _
- _Excellent planning and communication skills. _
- _Agility to adapt to changing demands in a dynamic environment. _
- _Proactive approach and efficient work methods. _
- _Health and Safety Risk Assessment training._
