We are seeking a
Solar Preconstruction Student
for our Solar District in Oakville, Ontario
that is available
for
a minimum of 4 months starting in September 2023.


As a
Solar Preconstruction Student and depending on your assigned project, here's how you will contribute to the team:

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with coordinating and managing the project design and procurement process which includes taking detailed meeting minutes and following up on open items.
  • Assisting with review of RFP documentation, drawings/diagrams, and specifications for key project requirements.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders by utilizing PM4+ to send RFIs and submittals.
  • Assist projects with material takeoffs, quantity optimization, and pricing compilation and recaps.
  • Streamlining project processes by developing procurement operating practices and converting excel tools into standard Solar templates.
  • Supporting project success by developing and maintaining PM4+ procurement dashboards for projects.
  • Draft purchase orders and coordinate with estimators and schedulers to ensure compliance with project budgets and expected delivery dates.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Familiarity with PM4+ and Power BI is a plus.
