Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the proper management of the various platforms
  • Acceptance and transfer of shipments
  • Manage the various carriers
  • Manage and redirect multiple shipments with carriers
  • Receive freight requests by phone, email or other means from customers, pricing department and sales representatives
  • Process information received in order to find a carrier covering that region
  • Negotiate travel conditions and rates with carriers, in order to obtain the best service at the best price.
  • Research, identify and develop commercial links with transport companies likely to carry out transport in the regions.
  • Maintain links with carriers and tariff agreements.
Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the transport sector in general
  • Excellent knowledge of various transportation software (LoadLink, Isaac, Geotab, Truckmate)
  • Experience as a dispatcher (asset)
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Good knowledge of the territory (asset)
  • Degree in transportation and logistics / supply chain (asset)
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
