We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to assume the role of Delivery Specialist "
Customer First" mindset, the Delivery Specialist is responsible to ensure the efficient movement of goods with the customers' satisfaction at heart.


As a Delivery Specialist for Checkers Cleaning Supply, you will be responsible to ensure the timely delivery of products and pick up of equipment to be serviced.

The Delivery Specialist will also, review orders prior to delivery, load and unload their assigned van and provide exceptional service to our valued customers.

This position also assists in the warehouse when deliveries and pick ups are completed.

Performance Objectives

  • Review delivery manifests daily to confirm accuracy.
  • Plan and follow organized delivery routes to minimize route time, fuel consumption and meet delivery metrics.
  • Ensure delivery vehicles are properly secured to avoid any loss or damage during transit.
  • Conduct daily vehicle circle checks to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is all in good working order. "Big Road" app for safety check
  • Communicate any customer issues, mechanical problems or delivery concerns to Management.
  • Report any vehicle defects, motor vehicle collisions, traffic violations or damage to vehicles to Management immediately.
  • Responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior cleanliness of assigned Company vehicles.
  • Capture photos of deliveries and upload for the Customer Service Team.
  • Distribute Checkers promotional material fliers as required to intended recipients.
  • Comply with all applicable driving laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the security of the Checkers delivery vehicle and its contents at all times; safeguard against theft and unauthorized access.
  • Provide Management updates on potential sales opportunities, new customer prospects
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all Checkers customers.
  • Comply with all Checkers policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Checkers Management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's license and clean Driver's Abstract
  • Minimum DZ 26' straight truck w/air brakes and / or van
  • Proven delivery driving experience.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and teamwork communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Geographical knowledge of Checkers delivery area preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Commitment to safety standards and practices.
