Reporting to the Senior Accountant, Finance Operations, the Accounting Technician will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial records, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, and providing critical feedback of operational performance against expectations.

The incumbent will be responsible for executing on internal control policies and driving for continuous improvement and efficiency.
Financial Accounting
Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure timely recording of journal entries
Execute Amica's accounting policies
Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide support for financial audits
Internal Controls
Support internal control processes and procedures
Serve as a subject matter expert for internal control matters to fully support Finance Operations Teams
Support internal controls and financial process improvement by supporting internal process audits
Bachelor's degree with a focus on Business or Accounting
~1+ years of progressive financial accounting experience or related experience
~ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with and analyze large datasets
~ Experience using Yardi – considered an asset
