JOB POSITION - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As a National Business Development Manager, you will sell personal protective equipment (PPE) products for Canada's automotive, oil and gas, construction, and manufacturing industries. You will be managing a team of two representatives. You will primarily be selling to purchasing departments and senior leadership at a high level, negotiating agreements, and turning over the daily service responsibilities to the other salespeople. This role is primarily new business development with minimal warm leads supplied. This is a newly created position, and I will report to the Vice President of Sales. The base salary is $100,000 plus commissions.

THE COMPANY & CULTURE:
Our client provides Personal Protective Equipment for the automotive, oil and gas, construction and manufacturing industries across Canada. The company was founded in 2000 with a staff of 40 in Canada, and a staff of over 2000 in the United States, and currently growing by 5-10% per year. They manufacture all their products in-house in the United States. Their corporate culture promotes teamwork and a positive work-life balance.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

• Head Office - Guelph, Ontario

• Working from the office occasionally once 1 month training period is over.

• The sales territory is Canada

• Full-time - Monday to Friday

EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of sales experience selling a commodity product to a similar client base.

• 1 - 2 years experience in selling PPE, safety equipment, or similar products is an asset.


• 1+ years in a leadership role

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Excel - Intermediate

• PowerPoint - Intermediate

• MS Word - Intermediate

• Online Demos - Intermediate

• 50% Prospecting/Cold Calling

• 10-25% (up to 5 days per month)

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

• Job Shadowing

• Mentoring

• 1 -2 weeks of sales training

• 1 - 2 weeks of technical training

• Within 1 - 2 weeks, you will be selling to clients and managing the team.
