Medical Office Assistant

Temporary full time MOA position available at a busy, multi-physician family practice and specialist office located near Broadway and Cambie.

We are urgently hiring for this role to begin as soon as possible in June and to finish at the start of September.


This is the perfect opportunity for a new MOA to gain some valuable experience

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Selfmotivated
  • Energetic and compatible with a fastpaced environment
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Organized and proficient with computers and EMR systems (Intrahealth Profile experience an asset, but not required)

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Answering phone calls from patients, other clinics, and physicians
  • Scheduling patient appointments on the EMR
  • Scanning documents and maintaining electronic patient charts
  • Equipment sterilization
  • Specialist referrals
  • Preparation of exam rooms
  • Minor office cleaning

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 2 months

Salary:
From $20.00 per hour
