As a part of our Development Unit, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Development Coordinator to join our team and contribute to our deep energy retrofit initiatives.


Job Summary:


As a Development Coordinator for deep energy retrofit projects, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our market presence and driving sustainable outcomes.

You will assist in identifying potential retrofit opportunities, engaging with stakeholders, and coordinating project activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental conservation and promote sustainable practices in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director, Development Manager, construction teams, and external third parties to identify and evaluate potential deep energy retrofit projects.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and key stakeholders in the sustainability field.
  • Assist in preparing persuasive presentations, proposals, and marketing materials to showcase our expertise in deep energy retrofit projects.
  • Engage with clients, architects, engineers, energy planners and/or modelers, and industry influencers to establish strong relationships and promote our sustainable solutions.
  • Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking project milestones and deliverables, and ensuring smooth communication among stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular followups with potential clients to nurture relationships and drive project acquisition.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in energyefficient technologies, sustainable building practices, and government regulations related to retrofit projects.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance our visibility and establish our presence as sustainability leaders.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure projects are executed according to specifications and deliverables meet sustainability goals.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal databases, project documentation, and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications or additional coursework in sustainability are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to ensure smooth project coordination and documentation.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices, energyefficient technologies, and industry trends related to deep energy retrofits and associated technologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Basic knowledge of project management, contract law, and finance is an asset.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant construction industry experience in a project delivery role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience or exposure to business development activities or sustainability initiatives is preferred but not required.
