POSITION OVERVIEW:


Reporting to the Project Manager, Development Construction, this position is responsible for assisting the lead Project Manager and project team with the successful completion of multiple new mixed-use residential development construction projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with internal and external parties; Asset Management, Operations, Leasing, contractors, consultants, designers, architects, planners, municipalities, development partners and tenants on various new development projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely reports, including but not limited to; Quarterly Accruals, Monthly Development Management reports, Quarterly Partner's reports, and Monthly Cost Variance reports.
  • Support project team with overall management of the Tender Tracker, Change Orders, and Contingency tracking
  • Coordinate document storage and sharing of information for the project team
  • Support the project team through all phases of project development, design, and construction
  • Assist in providing clear direction to consultants and construction managers to keep the project on schedule and on budget, including but not limited to the following items: drawing review and design coordination, RFIs, submittals, construction schedule, budgets, site instruction, and tender reviews and recommendations
  • Assist with the preparation and overall management of RFPs for consultants, contractors, and construction managers, as required.
  • Coordinate with third party CMs to ensure all logs and reports are up to date and accurate
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings virtually or in person and prepare meeting minutes
  • Other duties / projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree / College Diploma in relevant field of study
  • 3 years of relevant experience in mixeduse construction
  • Experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, and construction contracts
  • Excellent time management and organization skills and ability to communicate and report accurately and timely.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and Outlook. Experience with Yardi, Power BI, MS Teams, Bluebeam, ProCore and/or MS Project On Line is considered an asset.
