Dining Experience Leader

You ensure that your team provides our residents with prompt, courteous and exceptional service along with hot, quality and delicious food.
Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Provide leadership and guidance to all serving staff to help the team achieve their goals and objectives, while working as a cohesive team.
- Liaise with the kitchen team and other applicable teams to ensure operational success.
Standards:
- Establish and maintain oversight of standards and policies in relation to customer service, service standards, uniforms, dining room and bistro set up.
- Ensure that all "Standards of Operations" including legislative and licensing requirements are known and followed; audit serving team to ensure standards are met.
- Follows all Health and Safety rules and regulations, including complying with OH&S committee requests, and ensures that all injuries and illnesses are reported and treated.
Resident Relations:
- Display high standard of customer service and maintain a strong relationship with residents and guests.
- Note any changes in resident preferences.
- Reports pertinent observations regarding residents' eating habits and/or problems to the United Cares staff on duty.
- Document on resident list in meal attendance if, away, or tray sent.
Employee Relations and Development:
- In conjunction with Human Resources, recruit and retain staff.
- Hands on training and 'onboarding' of all new serving staff; Conduct new hire serving orientation on the server's first day.
- Deliver customer service training to all serving staff on an annual basis.
- Complete server audits/performance evaluations
Service
- Act as a host/hostess seating residents and guests as applicable.
- Communicate with residents to provide menu options, solicit food choices and preferences, and respond to inquiries or concerns regarding food and beverages.
- Circulate through the dining room to ensure residents and their guests are comfortable and have what they need.
- Knowledge of the liquor service and liquor licensing requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid certification in ProServe and FoodSafe
- Valid CPR certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years serving experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Natural leadership qualities
- Excellent Interpersonal skills initiative, positive attitude, oral and written communication skills, professional appearance/grooming.
- Excellent work ethic driven, organized, good administration skills, strong computer skills, dependable and flexible.
- Excellent understanding of customer service expectations for frontofhouse service.
Salary:
From $20.00 per hour
