Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Economist, we'll count on you to:

  • Collect, compile and analyze industry data in support of market analysis and forecasting
  • Develop spreadsheetbased tools to support forecasting, business case and costbenefit analysis
  • Review and analyze economic data in order to prepare reports detailing results of investigation, and stay abreast of economic trends
  • Organize data into report format, and arrange for preparation of graphic illustrations of research findings
  • Conduct cost and schedule risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations for large scale infrastructure projects
  • Conduct research and literature reviews
  • Work independently on small projects or assist moresenior economists on larger projects
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Formulate recommendations, policies or plans to aid in market interpretation or solution of economic issues with clear, specified objectives and limited variables

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Economics or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be adept at working within a team environment
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employeeowned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing spreadsheetbased tools
  • Knowledge of costbenefit analysis techniques and concepts
  • Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation software
