Job Opportunity:

The Department of Economics at the University of Toronto invites applications for up to three full-time tenure stream appointments in the area of General Economics. The appointments will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Pursue innovative and independent research at the highest international level.
  • Establish an outstanding, competitive, externally funded research program.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics.
  • Contribute to the intellectual life of the department.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Economics or related area by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter.
  • Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching in Economics.
  • Specialization in International Economics, Behavioral Economics, Econometrics, or applied economists whose research focuses on structural empirical methods.

What We Offer:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
