Underground Mine Planner

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Reporting to the Engineering Coordinators, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will be responsible for short-term and medium-term planning, focusing on production optimization and opportunity projects. Acting as the liaison between Engineering, Geology, Underground Mine Operations, and Maintenance departments for all production-related activities while ensuring goals are met, and Agnico Eagle's culture & Code of conduct are respected. Maintaining high Health & Safety standards and environmental awareness are key.
- Maintain the weekly and 3-month rolling mine plan using Deswik and planning tools available;
- Issue the quarterly forecast planning exercise, gold production/Mill-feed, and update related KPIs;
- Compile and verify production data in Centric, and other tracking tools;
- Communicate regularly with Geology, Mine operations & Maintenance teams for planning adherence;
- Coordinate priorities with Drill and Blast team, Underground survey team, and design technicians;
- Collaborate with Long-range planners to integrate LOM vision into the plan;
- Lead design review meetings, verify lateral development, and Drill & Blast layouts;
- Contribute to safety and productivity improvement initiatives within the department and external groups.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a Technical Diploma, with relevant experience in underground mining;
- 3 years of mining operations experience;
- 1 year of underground planning experience is an advantage;
- Membership in a Canadian Engineering society and/or eligibility for NAPEG license is beneficial;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
- Familiarity with Deswik is a plus.
Note: The official working language at Meliadine is English.
YOUR WORK SCHEDULE:
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- On-site accommodations and meals provided at no cost. Agnico Eagle organizes charter flights to and from the mine site and assists with travel expenses based on your Canadian location.
