Job Description

The Broadcast Traffic Coordinator role provides a comprehensive view of the industry, collaborating with Creative agencies, Media investment teams, Media Planning teams, Clearances outlets, and broadcasters to create traffic instructions for various advertisers.

The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and keen attention to detail. Moreover, a successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who approaches tasks enthusiastically and collaborates effectively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Translate media plans into clear Broadcast traffic instructions across different platforms.
  • Coordinate Television and radio creative delivery to Broadcasters through third-party suppliers.
  • Manage closed captioning of Television creative with third-party suppliers.
  • Retrieve distribution lists and media schedules using Mediaocean.
  • Create and release Broadcast traffic instructions with media schedules using Never Cry Wolf (NCW) for Broadcasters.
  • Provide station/market summaries to Creative teams for Talent estimating and payments.
  • Oversee clearances process for clients from Scripts/storyboards phase to final edit with Clearances outlets.
  • Assign commercial coding (ISCI / Ad-ID).
  • Create and update distribution estimates and purchase orders using Altair (SAP) as necessary.
  • Approve vendor invoices promptly using Altair (SAP).
  • Maintain communication with:
    • The media departments for spot usage information.
    • The account service/creative agencies/direct client teams for commercial scheduling.
    • The production teams for new commercials.
    • Radio/TV stations for scheduling information.
    • The accounting department for distribution billing.
    • Commercial regulatory clearances.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Collaborative teamwork to achieve objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks, work independently, and achieve goals.
  • Willingness to learn new concepts on the job.
  • Accuracy and timeliness in task execution.
  • Detail-oriented approach.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and vendors.
  • Handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform effectively under pressure.
