The Role:
We are seeking a
Documentation Manager to join our team. This position will have significant leadership and career advancement opportunities as our company grows. You will work with various teams (internally and externally) to advance our documentation management systems.

Your main tasks will include:
- Becoming the inhouse specialist on all aspects of product documentation within the company.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining reports and dashboards that compile data from multiple sources, including our ERP system (Syspro), engineering software (Solidworks PDM, AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.), and productivity software (Wrike, SharePoint).
- Identifying opportunities to improve data management practices and deliver such initiatives to completion.
- Improving documentation quality through developing, maintaining, and enforcing documentation standards, processes, and procedures. Ensure accurate traceability of product documentation and change history through a formal Engineering Change Management and Document Control process.
- Reviewing submitted documentation against standards and following up with document creators/owners on any issues till resolution.
- Maintaining Change Orders, Purchase Orders, and contracting documentation.
- Developing and maintaining style guidelines for technical documentation.
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure accuracy of technical documentation.
- Ensuring appropriate approvals have been obtained before the release of changes; prioritizing and ensuring changes are released in the correct sequential order.
- Setting up and implementing the digital document management system with the needed folder structures, attributions, and security protections to efficiently deploy and then manage documents.
- Liaising with the clients' document control teams to ensure our records support their program record management policies.
- Training other staff in the program procedures, controls, and workflows necessary to perform document management reliably and consistently.
Qualifications:
- A degree/diploma in Engineering or Sciences.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and spoken communication in English.
- 48+ years' experience in document control and engineering change management is an asset.
- 48+ years' experience in businessoriented environments, preferably in engineering/manufacturing.
- Sound knowledge of configuration management practices. CMII or other Configuration Management related certifications are an asset.
- Basic background in ERP/PDM/PLM software tools.
- Good knowledge of engineering practices, utilizing standard engineering software such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, etc.
- Ability to work well in a teamfocused environment.
- Positive attitude, cando approach, and willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in as required.
- Experience in Quality Control within an industrial setting would be an asset.
