About Our Opportunity

If you are enthusiastic about fostering inclusive communities and believe in the power of collaborative partnerships to drive positive change, then we welcome you to join our team as our next Regional Hub Manager. We are seeking to hire four (4) Regional Hub Managers. The new Regional Hub model is a crucial element of the Human Rights Remedy addressing systemic discrimination against persons with disabilities.

As part of our innovative community-based approach, you will oversee the development, operations, and sustainability of a Regional Hub focused on supporting individuals with disabilities in realizing their desired lifestyle within the community. You will lead the regional implementation of various new person-centered supports, including Local Area Coordination (LAC) and Intensive Planning and Support Coordination (IPSC), as well as facilitate the closure of institutional facilities for persons with disabilities. Through your leadership, you will establish and nurture partnerships, working collaboratively to identify and create opportunities to enhance community capacity to support individuals with disabilities in their community inclusion journey. This role provides you with the chance to drive transformative change and significantly impact the lives of individuals with disabilities while advocating for human rights and fostering community inclusion.

Each Manager will be stationed in their designated region (Eastern, Northern, Central, or Western) to effectively fulfill their responsibilities. For a list of office locations by region, please visit the specified link.

Primary Accountabilities

Focusing on fostering a strengths-based, person-centered culture, you will collaborate closely with community partners and a Regional Advisory Council to address local needs and enhance DSP services. You will advocate for inclusive communities and provide guidance to your team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of the Regional Hub, encompassing strategic direction, planning, staffing, and achieving key remedy targets.
  • Offering expert advice and knowledge on DSP while modeling a human-rights approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Playing a pivotal role in community engagement and enhancing community capacity through adept relationship building and supporting a Regional Advisory Council.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant standards and guidelines, maintaining consistency with the provincial framework in Regional Hub operations.
  • Oversighting expenditures, contributing to budget forecasting, and ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines.
  • Maintaining service standards consistency across regions, evaluating the effectiveness of service delivery.
  • Managing operating budget expenditures, financial forecasts, and human resources to meet operational needs.
  • Promoting a workplace culture that is respectful, inclusive, and advocates for the rights of individuals with disabilities.
  • Navigating various environments, maintaining professional boundaries, and cultivating positive relationships with partners and the community.
Qualifications and Experience

You should possess a University degree in Social Sciences or Management, coupled with several years of successful leadership and supervisory/managerial experience in delivering social service programs.
