Responsibilities
- Manage warehouse functions, including, but not limited to shipping, receiving and inventory control.
- Supervising efficient operations of warehouse.
- Establish employee work and shift schedules.
- Coordinate assign and review employee work and efforts.
- Oversee and ensure smooth operation of equipment and machinery.
- Ensuring that all equipment is in proper working condition and coordinating repairs.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis and as required.
- Communicating with warehouse associates daily under the direction of the Production Manager.
- Monitor shipping and receiving lists to accurately ensure product shipments are being received.
- Training, supervising, and evaluating the performance of warehouse employees.
- Communicate and collaborate crossfunctionally to assist team to solve operational issues.
- Assisting in the hiring process and interviewing of potential employees.
- Planning and organizing the work and resource flow to complete shifts safely and effectively.
- Collaborating with other supervisors and managers to improve production, safety, quality, and communication.
- Leading safe work practices in adherence with DSM policies and requirements.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to perform administrative work including data entry and paperwork processing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients with a strong focus on customer service
- Selfdisciplined, highly organized with the ability to multitask and change directions quickly
- Ability to analyze data, review the operations information, and make suggested changes to improve operational performances.
- Ability to learn and use electronic warehouse management software.
- Positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years managerial experience with demonstrated motivating, training, and general supervisory skills
- Forklift license/certification
- Acknowledge the importance of customer issues.
