Customer Operations Manager
This opportunity supports the implementation of Customer Service strategies defined together with global Customer Service, Distribution, and the Customer Service Lead to ensure customer satisfaction, loyalty, and efficient operations.
This is a functional lead for the Customer Operations team and focuses on SAP/Systems optimization, leading and supporting digital solutions, and continuous improvements within the order-to-bill process/related systems.
Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a permanent position and is based out of Calgary, Alberta.What you will do:
- Promote crossorganization communication and change management efforts to help drive organizational engagement & effectiveness
- Partner with the Customer Service Lead in liaising with Supply Chain Management and Commercial teams
- Identify and address opportunities for daytoday operational improvement within Customer Service including adoption and adherence to best practices, improving service quality standards, promoting reduction of complexity, and providing training
- Manage service operations projects, respond to service demands, take initiative and action to resolve, and/or improve the customer experience and increase profitability
- Manage a team to execute order management, order fulfillment and billing tasks, as well as nonimmediate resolvable customer requests relayed by Customer Account Advisors and from other internal functions as needed (i.e. internal stakeholders such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Planning)
- Lead the Customer Operations team to be a highperformance and peoplefocused organization, ensure talent development and training, and manage the hiring process of new team members
Who you are:
- BS/BA in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields; (additional MS/MBA is preferred)
- 7/+ years of experience managing teams within the operational, Customer Service, Commercial, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Manufacturing environment
- Strong domain knowledge in agriculture is preferred
- Able to build, manage & deliver within a highly ambiguous environment in a creative & agile way with a large set of stakeholders & collaborators
- Key competencies: exceptional customer focus, project management, results orientation, problem solving, outstanding collaboration, conflict management, confidence in decision making, strong communication, and relationship management skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to use SAP and SalesForce
