Burb is a BC-based private retailer of recreational cannabis. We're legacy minded and committed to ensuring that high-quality craft cannabis continues to define the culture of BC. Our stores are community centres that celebrate the plant and preserve the culture associated with it.

THE OPPORTUNITY


Team Leads create a welcoming and inclusive environment on the sales floor and work in partnership with the store leadership team to lead the store through exceptional customer experience.

We also have specialized Team Lead roles in both Product and Community. Our Product Team Leads have both a passion for and an extensive knowledge of cannabis and the industry itself.

Our Community Team Leads are relationship driven and entrepreneurial in nature, building communities around our stores and continuously looking for ways to spread the word about Burb.

We have Team Lead, Product Team Lead and Community Team Lead positions available for our upcoming
Maple Ridge location. These position report to the the Store Manager and work closely with members of the support office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Team Lead, you will:

  • Be accountable for the level of connection and product education on the floor
  • Ensure every customer receives a "best in class" experience, connecting them with our brand
  • Work in together with the store leadership team to lead the store through the lens of exceptional customer
  • Build lifelong relationships between customers and our brand by prioritizing connection through authentic product education
  • Be responsible for the daily operations of store financial goals, sellthough, and overall customer and Burbtender experience.
  • Effectively execute actions from the store leadership team and head office and leverage the resources provided to you to accomplish this.
  • Assess customer needs, and makes strategic and timely decisions to solve customer issues in the moment
  • Coach Burbtenders to prioritize customer experience, and lead conversations in an objective manner
  • Coach the team on how to use connection to approach customers and elevate product education
  • Articulate areas of the business where we experience bottlenecks and suggest strategies for resolving them

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BC Workers Qualification and Selling It Right Completion
  • Previous retail management experience an asset
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of postsecondary education will be considered an asset
  • All employees' availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time. The Store Manager determines the availability needs, and this schedule could include a combination of shift times, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
