POSITION MANDATE*Manages the day to day operations of the department and oversees the sales and execution of work. Ensures all department staff are on task and producing quality work while balancing customer demand with available resources.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
*· The incumbent is a technical professional with central responsibility for the business growth of services.· Provides leadership to the department with core accountabilities for business results, the quality of technical deliverables, customer relations, and staff productivity and development.· Possesses an understanding and knowledge of how departmental operations fit into those of other units, and develops strong relationships/networks with other managers and leaders within TPS to achieve internal and external objectives.· Provides leadership and advice, and influences the course for the department by developing and implementing plans, policies and services.· Draws on the expertise of others and consults as appropriate.·BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:*· Registered Engineering Professional (P.Eng) or Engineering Licensee in the Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial fields.· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)· Budget management in excess of $5M annually· Solid understanding of operations and business process with proven project management experience.· Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiations, conflict resolution, and people management skills.·WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLL:*· *Leadership:
  • You will be in charge of managing one or more engineering teams as team members work together to complete projects.
