We are currently looking for a seasoned Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Manager for our affiliate company that operates within the Security Industry.


The Job Role:

As our HR Manager you will be responsible for a broad range of accountabilities including, but not limited to:

  • Leading and participating in the full lifecycle of the recruitment process. Working with the Operation Managers and scheduler, this role assesses existing talent needs and gaps, develops recruiting strategies and determines the best recruitment plan in a fast paced, high turnover industry. From there, ensure all employees are correctly processed and onboarded to ensure maximum longevity with the company.
  • Design and implement HR programs, policies, and practices to support company wide goals and objectives such as training, benefits administration, performance management, health and safety etc.
  • Provide employee relations support to the organization in compliance with provincial/ industry legislative requirements and internal policies, through consultation and investigation of issues that may pose a risk to the company, its reputation and its employees.
  • Act as a change agent, guiding the business and people through various change management initiatives as the organization grows and evolves
  • Coach and guide business leaders on the execution of HR policies and programs
  • Execute the organizations HR initiatives, providing exceptional customer service and driving process improvement
  • Assisting with special projects, company events, and other activities as required
  • Be a culture champion by building meaningful programs for the organization, facilitating employee recognition programs and other HR driven initiatives.
  • Understand the bargaining process with a broad range of Unions and help negotiate CBA's on behalf of the company.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent
  • CHRP/CHRL desired
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in HR
  • Ability to assess root cause and successfully advise on complex employee relations issues utilizing effective conflict resolutions skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills with proven ability to influence and negotiate, collaborate, defuse/reconcile, and remedy all stakeholder issues to create winwin
  • Strong demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and judgment
  • Results oriented through excellent organization/prioritization skills/time management
  • Knowledgeable of Human Resources best practices, regulations, and legislative changes
  • Knowledge of workplace occupational hazards and safe work practices
  • General knowledge of project management tools, approach, and resources
  • Fully proficient with MS Office Suite & G Suite
  • Reliable transportation to travel between offices when necessary
