Live Events Intern

Reporting to the Live Events Director, the Live Events Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in planning and executing events at Scotiabank Arena while learning how to effectively communicate with large audiences. The role involves overseeing the delivery of various events at the arena, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Support event execution by collaborating with the Live Events team
- Be the main point of contact for internal clients once events are booked
- Prepare and share event details with departments, ensuring clear communication
- Create event cost estimates in consultation with clients and MLSE departments, following operational procedures
- Conduct event briefings for staff and attend inter-departmental meetings
- Assist with administrative tasks such as event details, estimates, calendar updates, and venue scheduling
- Support Event Coordinators, Event Managers, and other areas as needed

- Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in sport, public relations, event management, or communications
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with precision and attention to detail
- Outgoing, diplomatic, and self-motivated
- Capable of handling pressure, multitasking, and meeting deadlines
- Positive attitude with integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Prior experience in event planning is advantageous
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
